Written by azliyana on Monday, October 22, 2007

Im just searching the latest info about Mesothelioma Lung Cancer at technorati. And lastly im noticed about the latest news. The issue refer to "Cancer death rates declining".

A new report from the nation’s leading cancer organizations shows cancer death rates decreased on average 2.1 percent per year from 2002 through 2004, nearly twice the annual decrease of 1.1 percent per year from 1993 through 2002. The findings are in the Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer, 1975-2004, Featuring Cancer in American Indians and Alaska Natives published online October 15, 2007 and appearing in the November 15, 2007, issue of Cancer. read more here

So, this is a good news for everyone and it shown the succesfull progress in the fight against cancer. Among the types of cancer, there are the three leading causes of cancer deaths in men: lung, prostate and colorectal cancers. In women, deaths rates from colorectal cancer and breast cancer decreased, while the rate of increase for lung cancer deaths slowed substantially.

Unfortunately, The death rate for mesothelioma, an extremely painful cancer in which membrane cells lining the chest or abdomen become malignant and proliferate uncontrollably, is on the rise. ( source : Diane Miletto )

The Author said that the fund for mesothelioma only less than 3 percent of cancer research dollars. So, the governement should spend more to Mesothelioma Research because not all cancers or cancer death rates are on the decline.

Do you have any ideas? Mesothelioma Prevention is better than Mesothelioma Treatment. Is it right? :-)
