Peritoneal mesothelioma is a rare form of mesothelioma. This is where the cancer affects the stomach and abdomen.

It started in the abdominal area and spread to other parts of the body, but the tumours that press against the wall of the abdomen can cause some or all of the following symptoms:

  1. Abdominal pain
  2. Abdominal swelling
  3. Nausea
  4. Loss of appetite
  5. Vomiting
  6. Breathing problems
  7. Chest pain
  8. Bowel obstruction
  9. Anaemia
  10. Fever
  11. Blood clotting abnormalities
